I think I know this guy. . .

Last year, I reffed with hands down the most awful official I have ever seen. I got his name through my association, usually very highly qualified refs, and asked him to partner with me for four grade school games (Girls 7th, 8th and Boys 7th, 8th). That was the longest night of my life. He claimed to ref a lot of high school ball but I don't think he has ever been in a high school gym. The first thing he said when he arrived was how hung over he was. He proceeded to showboat every call, call everything out of his area, attempted to overrule calls in my area, give a coach a 'T' for asking ME a legitimate question, and threaten to eject the game management. I almost had to clear the gym because of how nuts everybody was getting at this guy. Hmmm. . .

Old School, have you ever reffed in Appleton?

That's what happens when you move someone up a level before he's ready. Back to gym class.

We have that same guy in St. Louis. I was suppose to work 3 middle school games with him on Monday. I informed the assignor that "I was busy." I cringe when I am assigned with these guy(s).
