AND he acknowledged both men and women as officials. I know, I know, y'all can get tired of hearing this relentless drumbeat, but then, I get tired of being ignored. It's nice to read something that includes everyone that is involved.

In the absence of Mr. Grammar, may I offer the following:
Y'all is often an individual.
All y'all is more often a group.

(Mr. Grammar prolly didn't know anyway.)

The context of your post seems to be that you are addressing the group.

Note: It is important to use the teminology which is approved for your area.

Well Mr. Northern Tier/Upper Peninsula guy, as an 8 year vet of the South I'm here to let ya know that y'all by itself does indeed refer to the group, not the individual. I think ya can find the singular version of y'all contained somewhere within this post.

Oh, no! We're going to need a Mr. Northern Grammar Guy and a Mr. Southern Grammar Guy?!?

I sense anarchy and chaos coming on...

Or, perhaps a poll.

Yep.

Unless we can find someone to keep these types of discussions short...er, I mean, a person that has a little more knowledge than the rest of us, or someone with the kahunas to step in...um,...

Oh, never mind.

Go to his profile:

Chuck's Profile

It tells on the upper right side there if he's currently perusing threads in the forum, and if so, what thread he's in. If he's not on, it tells when he last signed on.

It'll only tell if he's looking if he signs in. No one shows up unless they log on.
