I guess the question is: Do you go with the 22 since you know you can carry it on or do you not worry about carry-on issues for now. When it becomes a problem for your referee bag, you can probably afford to buy another 22".

I'll throw this out knowing SOMEONE will run a different direction with it....

Here goes....

Do the extra 2 or 3 inches make a difference?

So let me get this straight? You're really asking if size matters?

I have found I have plenty of room in my 22". I usually carry my shoes, jacket, towel, two of everything else, including pants, shirts, socks, etc., rule books and notebooks, small Tupperware container for my whistles, and another container for gum, mints, comb (for those that need one), nail clippers, tissues, liquid soap, shampoo, etc. I still have room to add more if needed, so I don't feel jammed in yet. Some people (...coughTannercough...) might need a little more room because they bring more stuff with them, or they might have two sets of shirts, say HS and college. I suppose there's also the issue of the size of the official - the guy who is 6'5", with size 14 feet, will probably need a bigger bag just because their stuff takes up more space than say, other vertically-challenged officials who frequent (and used to frequent) this forum.

I have always purchased my cases from Kohl's. They usually have a good, inexpensive selection, usually bigger than say, WalMart. But it doesn't hurt to keep an eye out for bargains.

This would be so easy.

I will keep it clean. I will say the extra inches will not make that much difference (I cannot believe I am saying this :D). It really depends on what you put in the bag. I am the kind of person that puts two whole uniforms in my bag. I usually need the space. The bag I purchased has a garment bag inside and leaves plenty of room for shoes or just about any small item you might carry. Ultimately you have to decide if you like your bag and if it works for you. I have tried many bags and the bigger bags do not necessarily work either. It is about how easy the bag is to transfer and how easy it is to pack and move the bag.

Peace

I am not very self conscious about these kinds of things. I will leave it at that. ;)

Peace
