Is anyone aware of a website that has posted the NFHS Basketball rules?
I suspect the answer is NO (due to copyright concerns), but it would certianly make sense to have a copy of the rulebook accessable to all (INCLUDING COACHES )

It was on the IAABO page for a while (last year?) but it's
gone now. And it is accessable to all, just pay yer 5
bucks + S&H and it's yours to have & hold & mark up...

Sales of the book are a revenue source for the NF. That's why they don't post it. I wouldn't recommend anyone scanning and then posting it themselves. As williebfree stated, there are copyright concerns.

As to coaches having access, that would be moot, since most can't read anyway

Dan...

I just thought the accessibility would be neat, since (Gasp, ) I do not carry mine with me at all times.

Oops, I wasn't taking a shot at you, sorry!
Anyway you can download the NCAA rules from them
in PDF format. Very close to NF in spirit, although
they completely revamped it last yr and it's sometimes
hard to line up section numbers and case plays.
And don't tell Tony you're using the NCAA book or he'll
taunt you and spit in your general direction!

I know you're kiddin' dude. Besides, I'm not a basketball bigot, just anti-Euro. However, I have absolutely no problem with the NBA importing players who have no vowels in their names because I think the best players should play. In fact, you rarely hear of any NBA European players getting into the kinds of trouble some of our home grown guys get into.

You can imagine how we feel here in Oregon toward the most recent Blazer acquisition. It's bad enough we have to apologize for Tonya Harding and Rasheed Wallace, now we have one of the "Seattle Bad Boys", too. Once again, we are the Jailblazers.

OY!

If the NFHS rulebook were available in digital format, I'd put it in my Palm which would allow me to do really fast and easy searches for key words.

What is the address of the site where I can download the pdf NCAA rules?

I am trying to compile all the rulebooks, mechanic guides, points of emphasis etc from the various competitions onto my website www.Ref-Basketball.com. I already have all the FEEBLE but would like to include NCAA, High School, NBA etc.

Cheers

Duane

You realize that you'll be violating copyright laws. The nf has been very active in pursuing those who post their rules on the Internet.

If you want the actual rulebook, go to the following site:
http://www.ncaa.org/library/rules/20...rules_book.pdf

I would suggest, however, that you just post a link on your website, and not the actual PDF file.
