I am relocating to Las Vegas from the Seattle area and was wondering about the Vegas high school basketball situation. Does anyone know who the local high school assignor would be for the area. I was reading another post that they were having a camp at UNLV this past weekend, who puts on the camp? Will there be another camp to attend to be seen by their assignor? How is the level of basketball compared to other parts of the country? I did hear that they do use three man mechanice for all of the varsity contests, hopefully that is true. What is the process for evaluating officials? I have also heard that Vegas has some real high level summer tournaments in the summer, any Info?

The local assignor for Southern Nevada is Marc Ratner. He will guide you on how to sign up and such.

I talked to someone who used to officiate in Nevada and he said Marc Ratner is the comissioner not the assignor. What other info does anyone have on the Vegas high school basketball officiating. I have read that they have multiple high level summer tournaments to officiate.

Look at the toolbar at the top of this page. You will see - from the left- "User CP FAQ MembersList etc". Click on Search" and type in "Las Vegas". Just surf the old threads that come up. You'll get all of the info you need.
