Chuck.. Thats kinda close but the lead and trail never both "switch" sides.

When the lead rotates to strong side the trail will be about in the middle of the court and watch off ball (between the 3 point line and the 1/2 court line).

On a OOB the ball is thrown a long ways to administer the throw in, but the new trail is never all the way across the court.

Also if there is a throw in staying in the front court that is above the free throw lane on either side line... The trail will administer the ball and count... This also could be a long throw to administer.

I am not sure what the old high school mechanics were but this is the pro way to work 2 person.

As far as the younger officials having experience working a game 2 person.... Most minor leagues are worked using 2 person durring the regular season so they would have 1/2 way recent experience using this system.
