Welcome to Indianapolis
The Final Four is being held in Indianapolis this year. This is the fifth Final Four in Indy.
Anyone from this forum planning to go? Got tickets? They are sold out. Here is some info from the local paper: Sold out, but if you're willing to pay enough you'll find some. Ticket scalping is legal in Indiana and brokers say upper-level seats are expected to start at $400 and reach as much as $1,100, while a lower-level seat will likely cost a minimum of $2,000. Psst, dude here's a tip: Camp outside the Dome and look for fans whose team was eliminated. They'll be less excited about the finale and might make you a deal. If you're flying, expect to pay abut $20 for a cab downtown or see if your hotel has a shuttle. Much of what you'll need is within walking distance and quick cab trips cost about $5. TIP: Try the IndyGo "Blue Line" bus loop. It's free and stops at key locations through downtown. Go to IndyGo's website for a route map. The website for the local newspaper is: http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/frontpage Its a pretty good site and has all the info concerning the activities surrounding the Final Four week. Welcome to Indianapolis. (old motto: Indy-a-no-place. New motto: The place to be this week) |

if you want tickets to the game - find out where the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) Hdqtrs are and wait for the coaches to pick-up their tickets to the game on thurdsay morning. The vast majority of coaches sell their tickets to brokers who mark up the price and sell them. Take the middle man out and get the tickets cheaper than thru a broker.
Or wait til the fans of the losing teams leave the RCA Dome on Sat. - you can get cheap seats for the Championship game as the leave and want to "recoup" some of there money..... |
