I just wonder what his take was on being protected?
I know what my feeling would be.

If one of my partners is closer to a coach and can keep the coach off my ***, I'll thank him for it later.

What really pisses me off is, when I'm sitting there having a dialogue with a coach. And my partner feels the need to diffuse that by coming right in the middle of it and whacking the coach.

Think outside the box fella's.
Conversation in the locker room after the game:

"Hey, great no-call on that play, partner"

"Thanks. And thanks for keeping Coach K off my ***. I would have hated to have to T him in that situation."

Of course, if we thought "outside the box" like lanyard wants us to, the conversation would be...

"Hey, great no-call on that play, partner."

"How the f@ck do you think you are getting in the way of Coach K like that. Let him come after me so I can T his f@cking *** right then and there. I'll stick it to him good. Don't you ever mess with my game again."

Whew...guess "thinking outside the box" isn't so great after all.

Again never mentioned "T".
Credibility is the issue.

Lanyard, I think you're opinion of this one is the wrong one with the majority of posters on this board.

Accept that and move on.

So the official isn't credible because his partner kept a coach from getting whacked?

Welcome to the board! You've got a lot to learn, maybe we can help.

Exactly Whistle. There's a difference between preventing and interjecting. Teddy V was using preventative game management. It would be a whole different story if the other official was engaged in dialogue with Coach K and then Teddy V came in and did the body block.
