A1 is holding the ball and before he can release the ball to begin a dribble, B1 places one hand on the ball, preventing the start of the dribble. A1 moves his pivot foot. Travel? Held ball? I have seen it called both ways.

You'll see it called both ways because it's a straight judgement call.
- Held ball if you thought they had dual contol and neither of 'em could do anything with the ball. - Travel if you thought B1 didn't have enough control to stop A1 from doing something. |
