What exactly do you consider to be "artificial noisemakers?"

Easier to answer is what is not an articicial noise maker:

They are:

Yelling with nothing in your hand to amplify it, clapping with your bare hands and stomping your feet on the ground or the bleachers.

What if a fan has a prosthetic hand? It's artificial. He should not be allowed to clap.

The difference is that artificial noise isn't allowed during a game. So all that noise you hear is the genuine kind.

Nope. And to prove it, just last night I overheard a coach and his assistant agree that I am "the genuine article", whatever that means.
