end of the game,7sec left, team A scores. Team B rolls the ball to half court, before it is touched, but the clock never stopped and time runs out. Is this correct for hs BBall?

How did team A score? Unless it was a free throw, they got it right.
In high school ball (in the US), the clock does not ever stop for a made basket.

From your post it sounds like they scored a basket and not a free throw. In that case, Snaq is correct in that the scorer should keep the clock running under Federation (highschool) rules. The only way the clock stops and Team B can roll the ball before the clock starts again is to call a timeout.

Almost all the other rulesets have a stop clock after a made basket in the last minute (<59.9 sec, NCAA) or last two minutes (<1:59.9 min, NBA and FIBA) of the game. If under these three rulesets the clock runs out, then the official has the power to reset the clock if he/she knows how much time was left after the made basket. If you don't know, then see if your crew knows...otherwise, you'd better ballpark a time because the clock should definitely not have expired because one of the three of you should be watching the clock.

Under Fed rules, I guess Team A could've also caused a foul or violation to stop the clock, too, and give Team B the ball back, but I doubt this happened in your scenario.

With 7 seconds left, there was enough time to push the ball up and get off a good shot, unfortunately for team B they didn't know the rule. At least they learned something that game.
