Fun game - NOT

Had a great game on the weekend.

Home team (Team A) down by 3 with about 1:30 left. B4 picks up 5th foul with a charge. Goes nuts and immediately gets assessed a T. Assistant coach jumps up getting stuck into me (my partner called the charge and T). I assess a T on the assistant. Keeps going so tell him he is tossed. He starts yelling "you can't toss me - I only have one T" so I call the 2nd tech.

TeamA now has 6 free throws plus the ball. The make all six and then hit an open jumper to take th lead by 5. End up winning the game by 4.

After the game the Head Coach for TeamB walks over towards me - I'm looking for exits and worrying that he is going to explode. He pats me on the shoulder and thanks me for a great game. Turns out the Assistant Coach is the father of his star player (B4) and the association has made him an assistant to stop B4 leaving for another team. Coach has had probs all season with his behaviour and is really glad that he got tossed.

Bizarre - thought I might get popped and instead am being thanked.....

Sounds like one more problem caused by a school not standing up to a parent. They got what they deserved.
