A team may call a timeout during any dead ball, or when they are in possession of a live ball.

There is no such thing as travelling during the in boung pass.

As for a rule book, get your wallet out. Don't be so damn cheap.

You never call travelling during a throw-in.

Also stop typing in all caps.

The others are correct about the throw-in rule. Traveling does not apply at all. If the thrower leaves the 3ft wide designated spot, this is simply a throw-in violation. That should clarify this for you.

Nit-picky time again. Teams can never "call" timeout.

Traveling has only one "l".

I know you know this, but I am in "that" kind of mood today after my rec games yesterday. Sorry.

I'll agree with the first, since they only request a TO, but on the second point I'll cite that Webster's dot com gives both spellings. Although the NFHS rule book uses only one "l".

Main Entry: 1trav·el
Pronunciation: 'tra-v&l
Function: verb
Inflected Form(s): -eled or -elled; -el·ing or trav·el·ling

Ooo, bad day with the 3rd graders, Mark? Guess this was a good weekend for me to be out of town! Any details you'd care to share? Nothing as good as a run-in with ABC, I suppose?
