I report tripping as a block, but it probably should be given a signal of its own since if you look at the structure of 10-6-1, tripping is listed as a separate offense.
4-7-1 . . . Blocking is illegal personal contact which impedes the progress of an opponent with or without the ball. Rule 10 SECTION 6 CONTACT ART. 1 . . . A player shall not: hold, push, charge, trip; nor impede the progress of an opponent by extending an arm, shoulder, hip or knee, or by bending the body into other than a normal position; nor use any rough tactics. |

I'm not sure how you would get a hold out of a trip. I'd vote block, but I think they really ought to consider adding a signal for trip.
