What have you got when...

...one player looks like she's trying out for the synchronized swimming team when she's on defense?

...the ball never gets thrown in quickly, because the in-bounder always has to fix her hair first?

... one coach wants a time-out for the players to repair the little drawings on their cheeks?

... one team spends warm-up time making sure all their hair-do's match?

... the game includes 196 held balls, 5 apologies for fouls, and a dance lesson?

... there are players named Pookie, Ibo and Fritz all on the floor at the same time?


The answer of course, is freshman girls. My first one this year was last night. It was a lot of fun, but I don't miss the years of doing it every night.
