We had a ugly situation on Saturday night and I want to verify that we applied the rule correctly.
A1 player is fouled in the act of shooting by B1 (good basket) at the same time A2 makes a illegal screen on B2. We've remove the good bucket since A2 fouled before the basket when through the basket and we gave the ball back to offense team since the ball was in the hands of the shooter at the time of the doublefoul. No freethrows were awarded. The arrow was not changed. Did we apply the rule correctly? |

Difficult to say from your description.
First, this isn't a double foul, this is simultaneous fouls. Next, if the shot was in flight when A2 fouled, the basket counts if the shot goes. It doesn't matter whether it had gone through the basket or not. If the shot is good, give the ball to Team B for a baseline throw-in. If you rule the shot had not been released before A2's foul, give the ball back to A.
