Advantages to having no heat in the house for 48 hours:
Don't need to put the food in the fridge. Fridge doesn't use much electricity Creating body heat uses calories Doing the dishes by hand is enjoyable. Kids love baths! Not hard to do exercises Hats disguise messy hair. Motivated to sort out all the skiing clothes and prepare them for use! Hot chocolate, and hot soup! We get our furnace winterized for free. Saves money on natural gas.
