Exclamation

The chapter that I am in has decided to look into the idea of evaluations. I am on the committee that is doing so. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful as I continue my research. Plus any positive and negative comments
Thanks

Try and eliminate any evaluators that are arrogant and have a condescending attitude etc., the resentment they cause will negate any good they might do!

Sounds like you're speaking from experience.

First you have to deteremine what you're trying to accomplish. Are you looking to evaluate all officials, JV officials for advancement, VAR officials for playoffs.

If it is just for the sake of giving constructive input to your officials, the only negative I can think of is that some officials will get defensive and want to argue instead of thanking the evaluators and using the input to improve.

The positives are too many to mention. If you have quality evaluators who know how to offer tips for improvement with some tact and some professionalism, it will make your association much stronger.

take a look at our website at http://www.uboa.org

We have our evaluation form with about 120 points possible that is actually pointed out to 100 point scale.

They are all entered into a database and tracked over time.

The criteria we use is posted and how we look at certain things

That website is helpful, I didn't have much time to totally study it but is that for a 2 man or 3 man game. Also to everyone else we are just in the beginning stage of studing the possibility of doing this in our chapter. Any and all suggestions or comments would be appreciated. I want to know the good and the bad. Thanks

IT is for a two man game-but could be easily modified for 3.

Let me know if you want how each section is weighted, etc
