Scrimmages last night and tonight.

Holiday tournament games on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday.

Regular season game on Wednesday.

Running for real as opposed to rec ball.

Interacting with players and coaches.

Seeing more kids I have reffed for years playing on the varsity, and having them say they are glad to see me.

It gets no better than this.

Angry YOU GUYS ARE KILLING ME!!!!!!

Yea I would be loving this time of year too...if I was working this year! I've taken the year off (except for Winter Break) because of my first year of law school. As finals are coming up, I realize that I couldn't have done both (I'm in the library until 10pm every night as it is), but I'm missing this stuff so much right now! Blah!

Wink

Todd, man sorry to hear that man. I am actually on the opposite side of things this year too. I am coaching a girls JV team in VA. I am so excited. I have nearly all 8th graders. One girl is about 5-9 or 5-10 and amazing. I have never seen an 8th grader on the same level as her. She is going to be special. We are very quick. I cant wait to get this season underway. First game is about 2 weeks away. I'm gonna miss blowing the whistle though. I'll try to remember to be a good coach that doesnt get on the nerves of every official....lol

I couldn't agree more. I have 2 big jamboree's, Saturday and Monday in conferences I really want to work for, but haven't yet. The jamboree Saturday is in a D1 arena so I'm pretty excited to work there.

Todd,

Good luck with the 'legal maneuvers'. I will get in enough running and whistling for you in the next few days to make YOU tired! We'll hold it down for you in IL until you get off from behind the books. Have games from now until Tuesday of next week; from scrimmages to tourneys to reg. season games. Even a grammar school ch'ip game for good measure.

I hear you, there's nothing like it. Everyone is excited to get the season going.......players, coaches and officials.
