Sorry guys, I hate these types of threads. But my booking supervisor asked me to gather fee information. He has a meeting next month and the subject will be discussed. I would like to have info from:
VA, KY, TN, GA, SC, AL, MS, FL I need: Middle school/Jr High, JV, Varsity 1 game and/or 2 games Travel expense? Is it the same across the state? If you live in one of these states, just put the state name in the subject window and fill in the rest. Thanks!

tony,
GHSA sets the fee for high school contests statewide including travel and are as PaulK indicated. However, middle school fees are negotiated with the individual schools or leagues that they may play in. Paul is way down on the coast and we are closer to Atlanta. Our fees for middle school games are 35.00 per game with no travel. I don't know what other neighboring associations get for their middle school games. The State shared a national survey that was conducted by the Federation for the 2004/2005 season. It also had a regional breakdown that included Alabama, LA, Fla. and S. Carolina. Might not have as much detail as you would like, but I could fax it if you are interested. Mulk

South Carolina
Middle School ---> $23 for 1 game/ $33 for 2 games plus $7 mileage JV ---> $28 for 1 game/ $41 for 2 games plus $7 mileage Varsity --->$41 for 1 game/ $58 for 2 games plus .25 per mile. Most assignments are two games (girls/ boys) This informationis from our High Scool League and so I believe it to be consistent statewide. Hope that it helps. |

jv- $40 per game (2 man), 3 man splits the $80 3 ways varsity- $65 (2 man), $55 (3 man) no mileage at all Prett close to the same around the state, some give a couple dollars more, some a couple dollars less... we pretty much did what you are doing and we took the average around the state and got it approved for our association..good luck with it! Mulk:
In Albany, GA area, we treat Middle School as a non-varsity rate of $31 plus the mileage of $0.50/mile one way one vehicle, but as mentioned each association negotiates the fee at that level.

Mulk, Andre, Paulk -
Greater Georgia association splits travel evenly among all officials in assocation. It works out to about $8 per trip. I'm very happy with this association. Have improved significantly because of top notch officials I've been calling with and GT and Union Grove camps this summer. |
