If we can, we, as a crew, try to get to the game early and do a little tailgating. Fire up the bar-b-que, have some burgs, ribs and brats along with the five alarm chili. That takes care of our protein requirements. Then we wash 'em down with a few cold grain-based libations for the health-conscious amongst us. It's a great atmosphere to do your pre-game in too-- much better than some stinky old coaches' dressing room. This procedure seems to foster the intangibles that comprise "team unity" somehow. I recommend it highly.

Of course, we do put up barbed wire to keep the fans and other riff-raff out.

It's true, it's true.......

Talking i like the pre-game tailgating idea!!

i'll have to get together with the crew and work the details out for tonights scrimmage...we'll give it a try..

normally i just like to have a big lunch and a small snack on the way to the game, definitely a lot of water or gatorade all day, bananas and oranges are great at half-time!

The same happened to me during the season and then I talked to one of the nutritionists at the school here and she said that I wasn't eating enough during the day. She recommended that I eat 6 times a day. I ate small portions nothing larger than the size of my fist. Three of the meals were breakfast, lunch, and supper, the other three were snacks (protien bar and apple etc...) She also recommended that I try to eat one protein and one carb per meal along with two vegetables and one good fat (cheese, salad w/ olive oil etc...), and a gallon of water per day. I dropped the weight like it was nothing. to help me out I made a sticky note everyday that looked like this:

PPPPPP CCCCCC VV F WWWWWWWW

The p=protein, c=carb, v=veggie, f=fat, w=water. AS I ate a protein I simply crossed it off, when I ate a veggie, I crossed a v off. It is real simple and easy to do.

It looks like one of those beastly "critical thinking" questions on an intelligence test. "What are the next four items in this sequence?"

There's your problem Juulie, you're trying to do too much - AAUUGGHH is eight items; the question only asked for the next four...

I can't eat a whole candy bar. I usually buy the bag of minis and eat one or two before and one or two at half-time. I also love the Toll House Rich Brownie bars, and usually eat only one half at a time.

Is this just way too much information?!?

It's actually 13 items, at least it is according to the 2005 book.

btw, a big mac knocks off 2 Ps, 3 Cs, and a V (pickle & lettuce).

If you eat it with a bud light then you knock of 4 Ws.

You mean you'd have more than one? I thought Schaffer was the one beer to have when you're having more than one.
