A techinical foul on assistant coach is also an indirect "t" on head coach, correct?

Yep, in the 10-4 Penalty section appears, "The foul is charged to the offender (if not the head coach) and also charged indirectly to the head coach."

And after you T the assistant, you can sit back and watch the head coach kick the crap out of him/her. It is sort of like a double penalty on the assistant!

The head coach also loses the coaching box if your state allows the HC to stand.
