Cotton shrinks in the dryer, polyester expands.

Simple solution then......

Put your wet cotton shirt over top of your wet polyester shirt....and then put both of them in the dryer together. Should cancel each other out.

Same logic as eating pasta and antipasta at the same time. You'll never gain weight doing that.

It's true, it's true......

Beautiful post, absolutely beautiful.

Well now, since we know the answers to shirts shrinking or not, maybe try putting your belly in the dryer. Please let use know the results. :)
But, is the belly polyester or cotton? ;)

...or some other gelatinous substance that mysteriously appeared sometime after 30.

You would have to test the lint inside the button assuming an outie is not present.

I would ask your bathroom scale if your shirt is shrinking or if you are expanding. Those suckers just won't lie to you. As for washing your shirt, I never!!!!!! put mine in the dryer. A polyester shirt will dry in no time and will look much better when never exposed to heat!
So you never go near mad coaches?

*i usually just wash it without fabric softener and then just hang dry it instead of putting it in the dryer*
