Eight years now, six of them at HS varsity level, four years doing jr. college - women to start for a year, then mens and womens since then (remember, up here, juco women uses two-person). I've been to a few provincial (state for you guys) tournaments, am still waiting to do a final.

Obviously, though, the system is MUCH different than down where y'all are....so can't really compare straight up.

I have been officiating for 11 years and have worked in 4 states due to military moves.

I work about 60/40 high school/college.

12 years. HS varsity (mostly girls - my choice) at the AAA level -- highest level in VA. Not sure how much longer I will be able to do this -- turned 62 yesterday.

Last year almost all JV High School.
I do a Catholic league on weekends Grades 4-8.
Just passed to Class 1 in Ohio so I can now work towards Varsity High School.
I am scheduled for some Frosh JV double headers with a 3 whistle crew for this year.

This just goes to show how different things are in other parts of the country. There is pretty much no way anyone would get to a state final once, let along two in an 8 year period. There are people around here that do not get a Regional assignment (first level or round of games) by their 8th year working high school basketball.

Peace

That is one of the things that I am most grateful for - I am in a part of the country where the opportunities are plentiful(for some people):
I have 4 seasons of college(DII and JuCo - M/W) and next year will be my 10th season as an official. I have been fortunate enough to do 5 Regional finals and 4 state finals(including the large school Boys state final 2 years ago).
I have a passion for officiating(as so many of us do) and I am so grateful that I have been able to accomplish the things that I have.
