I just saw one of these whistles for the first time this season. Unfortunately, I have no idea where to buy one, sorry. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum, FJM.

For a dealer in France, hit the link below:

http://www.molten.co.jp/english/sports/dealer/d010.html

Google is a great thing.

What's a "Molten Whistle" ?

Does Fox40 have some competition?

It's a whistle where the harmonics are in metric - for calling FIBA games.

I tried to find some information on the whistle, couldn't find anything. Either way, I'm sticking with the Fox40.

Searching produced a couple results....

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...97401?v=glance

http://www.newitts.com/product/OS-22...ic_Whistle.htm

Anyone know what it sounds like? Sounds like it might be used a lot for volleyball....

I had a partner who used it this season. It sounded pretty much like a Fox 40. Slightly different pitch, but essentially the same. This official is also a FIBA official, for what that's worth.

Looks a little big! I don't believe I would want to lug that thing around on the court. As I stated earlier, I would have a hard time giving up the Fox40. It'd probably take a really really really good reason and some cash. (LOL)

Welll....interesting description....

Hand grip referee whistle. Three different tones, no blowing required. Complete with battery.
