NFHS rules, when does the period end: horn, clock or light?

Exclamation

Also - the fourth period doesn't end until one team has at least one point more than the other.

OK - that's my rule.

Since I'm not that old, do I owe you copyright infringement costs?

I don't know what you guys are arguing about. That's not Mark's rule or Mike's rule. It's the FED rule. The fourth quarter simply continues, four minutes at a time, until one team has more points than the other when the horn sounds. OT periods are simply extensions of the 4th quarter.

What's an "OT period"?

Speaking of overtime, we had two officials (Nassau co. N.Y.) officiate six(6) overtimes in one game, this past season, This was a high school game. both officials were given awards at our annual dinner 3/23, right now we are trying to research and see if this is a national record, ( it is in new york) if any can help with info please forward to me, and tanks!!!
P.S. will furnish names and schools on request.

For some reason I don't think that is a national record, I think I heard of a case of more OTs than that.

I've had games showing 0:00 on the clock and no horn has gone off. There was always like 0:00.4 left on the clock.

Back then, they were only 3 minutes each, I think. But still. . .
