I thought I had read a question on the resetting of the shot clock following a similar scenario....
Team A pressing Team B in Team B's backcourt........ A1 bats the ball away from B1 and the ball rolls OOB... Team B gets the ball back and the shot clock is reset. Is this correct? |

![]() quote: Team B must gain team control before the clock resets. Clock should not be reset for a batted ball, unless kicked as mentioned above. I'll go one step further: Team A has ball, ball is batted by Team B, while ball is loose the 30-second clock expires. Still a 30-sec violation on Team A. Coach will love that call. ![]() ------------------ Brian Johnson [This message has been edited by PublicBJ (edited December 22, 1999).] |

To Mr. Silliman: You know California uses a shot clock. In Neveda you are members of the California Basketball Officials Association (CBOA). How do you like the materials and Study Guide/Certification Tests?

Illinois does not use a shot clock.
In Illinois, all play-off games are 3 person. Most regular season games are 2 persons. Some holiday tournaments and conferences use 3 officials for games, but the majority in the Chiago area is 2 person. Unless you also work college, you work 95+ % of your games as 2 officials and then in the play-offs, need to adjust to 3 person???? |
