I thought I had read a question on the resetting of the shot clock following a similar scenario....
Team A pressing Team B in Team B's backcourt........ A1 bats the ball away from B1 and the ball rolls OOB...
Team B gets the ball back and the shot clock is reset.
Is this correct?

Team B must gain team control before the clock resets. Clock should not be reset for a batted ball, unless kicked as mentioned above.

I'll go one step further: Team A has ball, ball is batted by Team B, while ball is loose the 30-second clock expires. Still a 30-sec violation on Team A. Coach will love that call.
