Nick Smith OOB

While watching the title game on tape last night, I saw something odd. It looks like Nick Smith receives a pass while stepping OOB on the endline right in front of the L. This play happens at the 7:39 mark of the first half and Illinois makes a 3 on the possession after another pass.

Did anyone else notice this?
