Louisville leads Memphis 75-73 and the official correctly calls a foul on Louisville, on a 3-point attempt with no time remaining.
If Memphis wins, they go to the tourney. Most projections have them out if they lose. Basically, if they win, they knock a bubble team out. Memphis player makes the first, then misses the last two, and Louisville wins 75-74. The official who made the right call? Rick Hartzell. So much for him allegedly screwing other bubble teams with sold-out calls. Good call, and great job. |

Looked like a solid call when it happened.
TV replay confirmed it. There's a lot of officials out there who would have passed on that contact. So that's Rick Hartzell? Guess that's why we see his name so often in late March.... Still feel sorry for the kid, though.

And now. . .let's go to Doug Gottlieb and here his analysis of the game. Oh, wait, we are having a tough time hearing him due to his head being inside his rectum.

I was watching the game, and guess who called a PC on Memphis just a possession before that when they went for a tying layup...Hartzell. It was absolutely the correct call too, although Calapari (sp?) was none to thrilled with it. What I thought was absolutely great however, was that Calapari came about 5 steps on to the floor to protest, and the player was about nose-to-nose w/ Hartzell and then put his head on Hartzell's shoulder like he was ready to cry. Hartzell just looked at them both, stop signed Calapari, and moved on. Anyone else see this?
