You can actually find very inexpensive copies (starting at $1.40 + shipping (about 3 bucks) on http://www.amazon.com

It is an EXCELLENT read and a great resource for any referee to read. I've also recommended it to my non-referee, basketball fans. Especially older ones who remember who Earl is. Sadly, a lot of kids (as in my younger brother's generation hah) these days don't remember him. How time flies.

Other good on-line sources for used books in addition to amazon and alibris. I've ordered using both of these and have had good luck. YMMV.

http://www.half.com
http://www.abebooks.com

Each has Earl's book for under $2 (before shipping).

These acronyms are just too much. Some people use them, but I don't think they mean anything. For example,

AFAIK -- as far as I know, that has no meaning
IIRC -- if I recall correctly, this has no meaning either.
YMMV -- this term has multiple meanings, so your mileage may vary as to what it means.

By the way, does anyone know what BTW stands for?

Also, thanks in advance for telling me what TIA means.

IMHO is one of the more useful FLA's, in my humble opinion.

I share your frustration with non-basketball TLAs. They should be declared OOB.

What's the emoticon for licking your index finger and making a tally mark in the air?

Would that be the same as the "Cha-Ching" sound?
