Art. 11. Report a warning for delay to the official scorer and coaches, such as:
a. Preventing the ball from being promptly put into play (free throw or throw-in) by any team huddle;
b. Interfering with the ball after a score;
c. Failure to have court ready to play after a timeout;
d. Failure to keep game jersey tucked in.

To be honest, earlier this season, I reported a warning for crossing the plane to the table and my D1 partner, who I respect a lot, told me that we don't do that in college. And I never went and did the homework to doublecheck it. At least now I know that I can give an "official" warning if I want to.

Have I called this before, yes.

Would I call it if there was 17 seconds left in the game and the action of breaking the plane didn't create a disadvantage to the thower. No.

No harm, no foul.

With all due respect but who's to say it misght not have created a disadvantage.

Such as A1 can't see A2 due B1's arm up to his elbow over the plane.

I work in many small gyms and this is a continual concern. I lean towards being hard on this violation, especially in these bandbox courts.

We have some on the stage with pillars impeding onto the court and about 2 feet from the circle to top of key.

Us? It's called using our judgment, like we do on every play.
