Had our Association's banquet last night, CBS college basketball analyst Clark Kellogg was the guest speaker. (Former Buckeye still living here in Columbus OH). After a very nice talk he opened the floor up for questions. Final question of the night was would he talk to his co-workers about using the terms "Over the Back" and "Reaching In". Clark said he was often penalized unfairly because he was able to reach over his opponent and tip a rebound back to himself. He said he would use the term "On the back" in his next broadcast. He's doing a ND/Pitt game with Dick Enberg. I can't wait to see if he really says this.

'over the back' and 'from behind'. You do the math . . .

Those guys make a lot more money a game using terms like "over the back" and "reaching in" than we do calling the vioaltions and reporting them the right way. I'll bet they don't change any time soon -- and I'll bet they don't drop "offensive foul" for a PC either.
