IM Basketball (red flag already).

Game is a blowout, something like 44-18 at this point, about 3-4 minutes to go in the game. I call a foul on the losing team. Report the foul, start heading to the other end.

As I turn my back to the table, I feel a tug on my shorts (we wear shorts for IM ball; heck, some nights we're lucky if everyone has a striped shirt on). Then another. I turn around and the guy I just called the foul on is trying to pants me.

I tossed him. I didn't get mad about it, mainly because I had the drawstring tied pretty tight and they weren't coming off. Game ends about a minute later by mercy rule (30 points with less than 5:00 to play). Last game of the season, guess the guy figured he didn't have anything to lose.

Anyone else ever had anything like that happen?

This is only funny because you tossed him. I'd have considered tossing a teammate for effect. :)

You should have told him he has to buy you dinner first. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :D

heck, it could be worse. I did an IM game once where a kid had a knife in his pocket. During a fast break, he attempted to hand it off to a teammate on the bench to hide it. They fumbled the hand-off and then proceeded to kick the knife over into the bench area to hide it. We had to stop the game, call campus police, and endure a half-hour search of the gym. They eventually found the knife and arrested the player. I just loved doing IM games. How else would you know how to handle all that stuff that isn't covered in the book? LOL
