----------------------------------------------------- If you are interested in Men's Basketball, the Chicago land Camp run by Harry Bohn (usually held at Willowbrook High School) in June. I do not have the dates yet. Also the Next Level Camp is run by Marvin Sykes. Marvin is a D1 Women's Official, but is attempting to get officials to all levels. The one session he has at De LaSalle High School is a tournament with some of the best potential D1 Men's college player in the country. You cannot get much more talent to officiate than at this camp. ------------------------------------------------------------ Thanks for the info...This is what I'm looking for but, I want to make certain that I'm not jumping ahead of my experience level yet. I have been patched for 3 years and reffing approximately five. I just started this year with Varsity games & that is where I want to immediately improve (sorry, should have stated this in my initial post). I will keep an eye out for info. on the 'Harry Bohn' camp and/or your post. Thanks again... john |
Your experience level should not be an issue if you attend any of those camps. Marvin's camp and Harry's camp are good for newer officials as well as those with a lot of experience.
Darryl Lamps (former D1 official) holds a camp typically in Peoria and Rock Island every year. He assigns several Men's and Women's conferences that range from Iowa and Illinois. He also assigns the Western Big 6 conference for HS. There is a camp that you might want to attend. I just worked with Darryl on Sunday. The information on his camp should be coming out soon as well.
