Tall, skinny player (A1) is boxed out by smaller, stronger player (B1). Ball goes over B1's head, A1 catches ball, lowers hands, B1 grabs ball, pulls ball down and A1 with it, A1 gets pulled into B1's back. Ref calls "over the back"!

I would have called jump ball, or maybe no-called it. Any thoughts?

BTW, this game is not using certified refs, so the terminology doesn't bother me so much.

Did A jump vertically?

Did B jump back into A?

Did both have the ball at the top without contact?

As described,I have a held ball and we're going to the arrow.

I agree. Definitely not a foul on A1. Probably a jump ball unless B1 pulls it away in the same action...then I'd call nothing.

Both players jumped vertically, and there was no contact until B1 pulled the ball down, and A1 with it.

Even if there is contact, this action is not a foul unless B1 was displaced. I'd call a held ball and have on this play before.
