Just wondering if anyone knows if they are working any playoff games this year.

Yes, we got that information about a month ago. I know which dates I'm working, but not the locations or the teams since the seeding meetings aren't until the end of the season.

The girl's playoffs have been given out already. The boy's Class A will probably be given out sometime this week. And the Class AA boy's will be given out sometime next week. That is all speculation. The girl's Class A started tonight.

Peace

we still have 3 weeks of season left. they have already named officials for the 5A and we'll know the teams at the end of the season. the rest of the list hasn't been made public yet.

Our regular season doesn't end until the 11th. District tourneys start 15 Feb and states end on 12 March.

Congrats Rich! Our season doesn't end until the 15th I think.

We have been assigned for conference tourneys and sectional playoffs. No regional or state finals assignments have been issued yet.

It's funny how these terms mean different things depending on which state you are in. Our first week is called "regionals" here and the second week is called "sectionals." If you win the sectional, you go to the state tournament in Madison.

Our regular season ends on the 22nd. The assigments aren't made until the seedings are done. So we probably won't get "the call" until the 25th.

Rich,

Has there been any info down your way regarding the state tournament going to 3 whistle? Had a discussion with someone last week who seems to be in the know that said next year for 3 whistle is a done deal. Any word? Others from WI?

Exactly how ours is running. I was pleased to see on my list of games that all of our games are going to be 3-man this year. That's good.

Last year only the larger schools got the three man.

Thanks
David

In SE Minnesota, most of the section assignments for the 2005-2006 season have already been made...

zakman2005000.....

3-whistle in for State Tournament 2005-2006. Conferences can use 3-whistle next year at Varsity level only and with school approval. Situation of budget for third official hasn't been addressed by WIAA, School Districts or Conferences.

This is long overdue!
