HS varsity game last week - I noticed the operator would change the possession arrow as soon as the player received the ball out-of-bounds, instead of waiting for the inbounds play to complete. Although, the likelihood of this causing a problem is pretty low, the same school is hosting the boys and girls region tournament next week.
As a spectator, how would you approach the situation? 1) not my job, don't worry about it 2) in a friendly way, talk to the operator before the first game 3) before the first game, tell an official what you've noticed, and let the official decide how to deal with it. I figure option 3 is best, but don't want to be more of a pain in the rear than I usually am.

Rule 6-3-4 The direction of the possession arrow is reversed after an alternating possession throw-in ends or when the throw-in team violates. Adaptation #8 The alternate possession arrow shall be changed when the ball is placed at the disposal of a player for the throw-in.
