Apparently, they reviewed a video tape to dtermine if a shot during the USF vs. St. Mary's had been taken before the shot-clock expired, while video review is only allowed at the end of a period. What's really shocking is that it happened about 4 minutes later. |

It's dissappointing to hear when rules are missapplied by officials.... however, as a St. Mary's College alum, I can live with this one!
Now if we can just have the same kind of fortune when we meet Gonzaga on Thurs. We got'em once already this year. |

With additional opportunity comes additional accountability. Kinda like real life. Bad calls don't get refs suspended - we'd all be suspended if that was the case .... it's generally a rule knowledge issue like this one that earns a suspension. Z |

Interesting, my question is...did the other coach throw the red flag? Not trying to bash them, just don't understand how common sense wouldn't tell you that you couldn't do this. Either way, it's too bad, but they've got it now.

I think this brings up the bigger question that Chuck and I started discussing regarding the GW-UMass game - what, if any, is the "correctable error" timeframe for reviewing the monitor (assuming a situation where you can legally look at the tape)?
