I can't find my rules book, so I'm coming here for help. When a defender uses their fist to swipe at the ball and hits the ball handler instead, is it an intentional? It is most definitely not a fight situation, but I think the girl had been watching too much football.
What say you?

My partner called one like that just the other evening.

Fastbreak layup coming. Defender comes from other side of key just as fast. Throws a fist on his arms. Both go to the floor. Partner, in great position on the baseline is just standing there with his arms crossed. Didn't hesitate.

Coach screamed a lot about it being intentional. (Coach ended up with a T later.)

No it was my partner again. He got all the exciting calls that game.
