Foul on a shot, no basket (2 free throws). Defender then gets a technical foul (2 more FTs).

Now, when administering the free throws (BTW, nobody on the lanes for all 4 FTs, right?) should we say "Four shots" or "Two shots, but you got two after the two......" (or something like that)?

Thanks!

"shooting two" you shoot the first two for the shooting foul.

"shooting two" you shoot the T

Remember that the shooter may change after the "shooting foul" shots.

You could have 4 shooters if the first shooter injures himself during his FT

You could have 5 shooters if the defense violates on one of the shots.

Angry

This is getting ridiculous!

You could have NO shooters, if an earthquake levelled the building at that moment, too. So what??

So you are saying they can have two different shooters each shoot one of the shots for the T? Never knew that...and have never seen anyone try it.

Yep, you can have one shooting the first and one shooting the second.

Not sure you can have the defense violate if they aren't in the lane spaces to begin with.

I have seen two different shooters shoot technicals. It happened in 1992. I was a freshman high school coach. It was late in the season. I had two kids who rarely got a chance to play, let alone score. The game was already decided. I gave them each one of the technicals to shoot. They both made the shot. It was a great day for those kids.

Remember that you can also put in a sub to shoot technicals. That is what I did with one of them.

It's a violation if the defense breaks the plane of the 3-point line or the FT line extended before a FT with no one on the lanes is over.

If defense runs into the arch or screams from behind the shooter this would be a violation.

Opposing player stomping feet clapping, disconcerting free thrower.
