Just became a member of this site and I have to say it is GREAT! I was wondering if any had some advice on camps for this summer on the East Coast for a first year varsity HS official. I have attended a few camps in the past couple of years and wanted to try to become a better varsity official as well as look into college opportunties. Thank you.

A lot of camps get posted on http://www.stripezone.com
There are no east coast camps yet, but expect them to come on within the next few weeks.

I know nothing about what type of camps are on the East Coast. But you need to attend as many camps as you can afford or have time to attend. You can learn a lot from different opinions about your ability and your mechanics. I would recommend you attend any type of camp that fits your schedule. The more the better if you ask me.
Peace

The East Coast is a large area. I attended a camp last year which helped me, in SW Pennsylvania (California, PA - South of Pittsburgh). It concentrated on mechanic improvement, which I found to be helpful to get rid of a couple of bad habits. The camp runs the end of July this year, I think the 28th to the 30th.
