Last night I had a 9th grade girls game. In the 2nd half the scorers table and both officals failed the see that Team B was entitled to a 1 and 1 foul shot. A throw-in was made and two possessions had taken place. At the first dead ball coach B alerts us of the error. We when ahead and corrected the error by administering the 1 and 1 foul shot and proceed with the game from that point.
Correct or not?

You were correct to administer the one and one. However, it should have been done with the lane clear and then award the ball out of bounds to which ever team should have had it if you hadn't gone back to shoot the free throws (play continues from the point of interuption if there has been a change of posession).

like said above, if the possessions did not involve any baskets being scored it was correctable, but if a shot was made that would make the 1st dead ball, then the throw in would make the live ball...then you can't correct after that! if no basket and just had possession change, go back and shoot with cleared lane and give ball to team that had it..POI
