When lining up for a freethrow does the bottom person "have the block" (have the ability to step on the block in high school basketball (like in the NBA)?

And they can't dangle their heel over the block, either. I don't know why, but this has been epidemic this year. Every game I've done has one or two players that do that pose thing with their toes only in their box and their heel up in the air over the block. What is that supposed to accomplish?

Again, no offense, but this is a chick thing. I have almost started laughing during free throws in girl's games because of the abstract poses some of the girls get themselves into while waiting for the shot.

Yea, you're right. I did my first of the season boys' games tonight (7th and 8th grade). None of them did anything like this. I don't get it -- and I'm a chick!

Can't do it. I think I've only seen it once around here. Guess it hasn't "caught" on here yet, that or they know better. Hopefully it's the second one!

It really is a chick thing! Never seen a guy do this. Maybe the guys aren't coordinated enough to do it.

Hey Rainmaker -- is chick a politically correct term these days? Is it chique to say chick?
