|
I have watched many games this year and have seen a few technical fouls called. I have also watched the officials administer a technical foul free throw differently.
Some officials have the calling official administer the free throws...some officials have the calling official stand at half court opposite the table. What are your comments on this?

Depends on the crew. We shoo the calling official away from the bench to g oadminister. That way he is a s far away from the coach as possible.
If the T in a player, the calling official will not adminster in case the coach has a question.

Don't forget about the 9 non-shooting players mingling around mid-court. If it is an emotional game, it may be best to have only one official (in a two person game) administer the technical free throws and the other official stand in proximity to the players (opposite the table) to handle/head-off any extra-curricular activity.
