A1 inbounding under the basket. Can A1 throw the ball up over the top of the backboard on the inbound pass??

No. 7-2 note

When the rectangular backboard is used, the ball is OOB if it passes over the backboard.

Same as a shot attempt from behind, the shot would not count.
