In Michigan, would someone please help me on the following rule?

In high school basketball, if the ball hits on top of the square backboard and either (bounces once or twice) and comes back towards the front, is that allowed. I know on a fan shaped it is allowed.

The shot came from the front.

If you know the rule number please inform, I do not have a rule book available so if you know of a website you can direct me to that would be great.

It's a violation for the ball to pass over the back board. Only the back side of the board is OOB.

The play you describe is legal (assuming the ball didn't hit any supports).

The FED rules book isn't available on-line.

The book provision can be found in the Case Book Sec 7.1.2:

... the ball remains live if it touches a side edge or the top edge if it rebounds and comes down in front of the backboard. The ball becomes dead if it passes over the top of a rectangular backboard regardless of the action which causes it to pass over or whether it comes from the front or the back of the plane.
