This situation is for Varsity Officials with 5 yrs. of experience or less...down to 1st yr. Middle School/Frosh. officials.
OK...you finally got the big game...packed house with playoff implications. 5 seconds left in the game with the clock running. A1 has just scored a basket and Team A is now down by only 1pt. B1 is attempting to make a throw-in. A1 breaks the throw-in plane and, in your judgement, interferes with the thrower's effort to make a throw-in. You blow your whistle...clock stops...it shows 2 seconds. You remember Team A has no prior warnings for delay. Did you just help Team A stop the clock? What do you do now?

BZ...you are quick!
I guess I better make my game situations a little tougher. Having said that...if an official can ignore the plane violation, he/she can then just let the clock run out...game over! But you know that...you quoted the exact case book play!
