I am taking the MHSAA basketball examination for new officials. The wording on question #59: If a player is injured, an official's time-out MAY be declared IF necessary to protect the player...
In the Officials Manual on page 45, number 276: If a player is injured, an officials time-out SHALL be declared WHEN necessary to protect the player... My question: Is this saying the samething? Is the anwser to the test question true or false?
