Girl has ball ready to shoot FT. Crowd starts buzzing, then alerts trail that clock is running. Do you blow whistle stopping FT attempt or allow the FT to continue, stop clock then put time elapsed back on? Does the # of FTs factor into the right answer?

If the ball is going to be dead after the FT, wait.

If it is a 1 and 1 or the last FT blow it back to your partner.

There really is no "right answer" because something goofy like that isn't covered in the rules. Just use your best judgment.
